Art on the Avenue will host the Third Annual Pie-Baking Contest on Saturday, October 6, during the Festival. Pies must be homemade: All entries must be baked at home from scratch (no pre-mixes, canned fillings, commercial mixes, puddings, etc.).

The Homemade Pies will be on display starting at noon at the Festival Store (between Del Ray and Oxford Avenues). Judging begins at 12:15 p.m. Cash Prizes are awarded on overall appearance, crust, filling, and originality. 

Judges are Barbara Mancini, Marcia Call, and Dana Lawhorne.

 After judging, pies are available to all.  $2 donations are accepted for a slice. All contributions will be donated to local non-profit Community Partners for Children.
 

Additional Information

• Pies must be brought to the Festival Store for Art on the Avenue by 12:00 Noon on the October 6th.  (The Festival Store will be located between Del Ray and Oxford Avenues on
  Mt. Vernon Avenue) 

• Judging will begin at 12:15 p.m.

• All pies will become the property of Art on the Avenue

• All pies should be brought in disposable containers (unless pie dish is marked with name and phone number)

• All pies must be entered at room temperature

• Pies must be baked in an 8-10 inch pie pan

• Contest is open to everyone and each contestant can enter as many pies as they wish (a separate entry form must accompany each pie)
